It’s the living room again!

All the photos posted this week are from a single strip of 127mm film. They’re all taken in & around The UP’s house.

We’ve seen this room & that TV before early on when I started this blog. I’d have to see all those photos were taken at the same time.

This could end badly.

Ever seen The Omen?  That ’70’s horror film starring Gregory Peck?  Remember that guy who took pictures of people with these strange lights coming out them?  Then they’d die in a way similar to the light in the photo?  First thing I thought of when I scanned this!

1950’s Home Interior #7/7

Well, it’s been fun but this series has come to an end.  We are left with a rather stained & overexposed shot of the TV again.  The doors are closed this time.  Still can’t find a brand name on it, so I’m sticking with my assumption that it’s a Zenith.

1950’s Home Interior #4/7

Here we have the same scene as the first photo in this series, this time in the daylight.  Much better view of the TV.  Would love to know what make it is.  I can’t find any brand name on it though.  Looks a lot like this Zenith here.

1950’s Home Interior #2/7

Check out that ghastly woodgrain paneling!  Our neighbors growing up had similar in their living room.

1950’s Home Interior #1/7

Scanned a strip of negatives last night.  All but one of them were the of this room from different angles and at different times of day.

That is one neato home entertainment center!  I know it’s hard to make out details in this photo, but it’s a combination radio/phonograph.  I thought it was a TV set at first, but the screen is too small, the wrong shape, & it isn’t the center of the room as a TV usually is.  Wonder what that thing would sound like?
