A girl, a dog, & a massive light leak

A camera is, essentially, a light proof box used to store the film medium.  When said box isn’t quite light tight, you get what’s known as a light leak.  Unless you’re shooting with a toy camera like a Holga or going for some special effect, light leaks are bad news.  Here we have a prime example of why.  What looked to be a nice, pleasing photograph of a young girl & her puppy is now completely ruined.  Add in the fact that the negative was folded in on itself twice & defied any attempts to straighten it and you’re in for a challenging attempt to scan at the very least.
