Now back to our regularly scheduled programming!
Meant to try and post yesterday, but we didn’t get back from Colonial Williamsburg until late & I was way too tired.
No idea where this one was taken, but I’m assuming Jamestown, VA since we’ve had other shots from that area. I’ll bet it doesn’t look terribly different today.
No, friends & neighbors, your eyes are not deceiving you: that’s a color image! Found it amidst all the black & white negatives. Looks to be the first or last frame from a roll of color slide film. It wasn’t in a mount and had a pretty severe light leak on one side. Given the time period, it was probably Kodachrome.

Apologies for not updating yesterday. I woke up with a migraine & tried to stay off the computer as much as I could. So, without further ado, we continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
Here we get a little more confirmation that The UP lived in the South. Those houses look exactly like one’s down the street from where I grew up. Also looks like collards in the garden, too. I don’t think anyone north of the Mason-Dixon grows those.
The real question is, who puts a toy boat on a post in their backyard? Inquiring minds want to know…
